Nichol Marsch

Nichol Marsch (she/they) is a Canadian, working primarily in multimedia sculptural installation. Her practice is self-reflective and explores concepts of social constructs, determinants of identity, place and invariability. Following her BFA (hons) Nichol completed a year-long practicum at the Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity (18-19), the Foundation Mentorship Program at MAWA (19-20), the Creative Manitoba Individual Mentorship Program (20-21), and the NYC Canopy Program (23-24).
With Manitoba Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts support, Marsch has completed several projects and activities including: a large-scale installation ‘Subjects’, featured at Centre[3] for Artistic + Social Practice (2023), a large-scale installation ‘Self Portrait…’ featured in a solo exhibition at the Nova Scotia Craft Council, Mary E. Black Gallery (2024), a series of ceramics ‘Barrens’ exhibited at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery (2024); and a new multifaceted series titled Moonlight/klayr di leun, exhibited at aceartinc. (2024); and residencies at the Iceland Textile Centre, The Banff Centre for the Arts, Est Nord Est, and Vermont Studio Center.
