Kai Hart is a multidisciplinary artist from Toronto, currently based in Winnipeg and Halifax. Having worked as a studio assistant at Prairie Studio Glass (2024), his own practice is not restricted to a specific medium, exploring painting, photography, glass, found materials and most recently, AI software. He has studied at Centennial College (2019) and the School of Photographic Arts: Ottawa (2025). He has held various residencies, such as at the Akin’s Collision Gallery (2020) and recently exhibited at the Leslie Grove Gallery (2022). He is presently exploring the themes of self-narration and the ethics of personal autonomy verses social responsibility. He looks forward to how his employment with the Royal Canadian Navy will shape his artistic practice as he explores the world at sea.
