Kai Hart

Kai Hart is a multidisciplinary artist from Toronto, currently based in Winnipeg and Halifax. Having worked as a studio assistant at Prairie Studio Glass (2024), his own practice is not restricted to a specific medium, exploring painting, photography, glass, found materials and most recently, textiles. He has studied at Centennial College (2019) and the School of Photographic Arts: Ottawa (2023). He has exhibited at the Leslie Grove Gallery (2022) and has recently enrolled in the CAF Regular Force (2024). He is currently serving in the Royal Canadian Navy in CFB Halifax.
Hart explores the emotion of memory and his life experience through white and black paint, mixed with grey shades and neon colours. The everyday challenge to the act of painting compels him to face his own internal and external challenges. The energy in his work map his curiosity to this exploration.
